Everything That Holds NightWing Together The FingerTech NightWing screw pack is the dedicated fastener kit for the NightWing frame kit — sold separately because not every builder needs a fresh set, but indispensable when you do. Every screw, nut, and bit of heatshrink in the pack is spec’d specifically for the NightWing chassis. Nothing generic, nothing to source on your own. What’s Included The pack covers two fastener jobs. The 49 button head thread-forming #6×1/2in screws handle the bulk of frame assembly — they drive directly into the pre-drilled UHMW, PLA , PETG, and G10 frame parts with no tapping required. The 4 longer #6×1in button head screws are for deeper structural connections. Two M2×16mm flat head Phillips screws and matching nuts mount the power switch. A 6cm length each of 5mm OD and 7mm OD heatshrink rounds out the pack for clean wiring runs. Tool You’ll Need A cordless drill with a #2 Phillips bit is the right tool for the thread-forming screws. Set the clutch as light as it will go — these screws don’t need to be cranked tight, and the pre-drilled pilot holes do the work. Over-driving is the only real way to make a mess of the assembly, so let the drill do its job gently. Spares Are a Good Idea Thread-forming screws are a one-way street — once driven, they’ve cut their thread. If you strip one or lose one mid-build, you’ll want a spare on hand. FingerTech notes it’s not a bad idea to order an extra pack, and we agree. The cost is low and the alternative is a build stalled waiting on a single fastener.
