Update 2:I did a quick 10 mi ride and it held together.Make sure that you stow the roller wheel and tighten the screw so you don’t hit it with your heal.If you want to try bigger tires, the limiting factor appears to be the front fork width which is measured just above the front wheel.I put a water bottle cage on the bike. The mounts on the top of the main tube are not spaced for a water bottle, but you can use one screw and zip ties.Update:If you are over 6′, you will want an extended seat post. I received the Aceoffix 31.8 mm two piece extended seat post from another site. I only rode it for a 5 mile test ride. I don’t know how long this will last, but it rode well for what it was.I recommend this with caveats. You are not getting a Brompton for a fraction of the cost, but this is still a credible bike. If price is no factor, get a Brompton. If you don’t need the ultra-portability and you cannot afford an extra bike, you may want to look at spending a little more for a Tern, Zizzo, or Dahon. They are bigger, but they are still foldable and probably small enough to fit in your car or carry on public transit. If you want to spend a little more, the Priority Folder is great. If you are looking at Bromptons or Bike Fridays then you know this bike is not in the same league.I already have a Bike Friday and Priority Folder. While I love these bikes, I am intrigued by the ultra-portability of the 16 inch format. While I may eventually buy a Brompton G, this itch is currently being scratched by my other bikes. I am still intrigued by the Brompton C, but I wanted to play around and get some more impressions of the 16inch format than my hour or so on the Brompton C on a cold dreary London evening.Basically, the bike is as advertised. All of the necessary tools are included. The wheels on the rack are a slightly improved over the video with a crossmember to add support. I found the handlebars were not quite straight, but this is a quill stem and I easily straightened it using the allen wrench supplied. I recommend removing the front reflector since it catches the cables when folding the handlebars. What I like:1. It folds easily and compactly. However, I don’t think that it is quite as small as the Brompton C line.2. It rides well enough. There is no suspension like the Brompton, but it felt fine on ordinary streets.3. The brakes are mechanical disk, but they seem at least as good as rim breaks if not better.3. The frame along with disk brakes make it appear that you could use wider tires compared to the 16 X 1 1/8.4. I like internal gearing, but the norm is derailer shifting. This has a 7-speed rear derailer. While this is an inexpensive drivetrain, it seems to work fine. The derailer is on the outside when folded. While this makes it more vulnerable than the Brompton setup, it does have a guard.5. The built in rack is decent. What I don’t like:1. I am leery of the rear triangle that isn’t triangular. The shape is necessary to clear the chain when folded, but it is somewhat of a cantilever structure. It hasn’t broken in my few of days of riding and may be fine, but I will keep an eye on it.2. It is definitely limited to a 6’1 rider on seat height. I need just a couple of inches to be comfortable. However, I found a found an extendable seat post on the site that begins with an A and ends with li for about $30 and will see if that works. In the meantime, it was ridable and fits my wife.3. I can’t believe that it lacks foldable pedals. I ordered them for $15 on Amazon.4. Unlike the Brompton, the chain is on the outside of the fold. So is the derailer. However, there is a derailer guard to protect it.5. It has fittings for what appear to be for water bottle cages, but the screws are too close for any water bottle cage that I have seen.I doubt this bike will last too terribly long under daily use or extreme conditions. However, it is fine as a spare folding bike and for my much lighter wife when we go to the bike paths without having to install the bike rack. It was great for me to see how the ride on 16 inch wheels was not bad. This may be my gateway drug to a Brompton C-line if I get the urge.
